We have a new opportunity for a CNC Operator to join our established client who are the global market and technology leaders.

We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Operator who is multi skilled and able to operate CNC machinery such as, lathes and 3 axis waterjet machinery. As part of a small local team based in West Bromwich, the position is ideal for a person who wants to develop themselves and make a significant contribution to the continued success and growth of our global company.

Role responsibilities for a CNC Operator:

  • Machining of a range of sealing products in plastic & rubber materials to the required quality standards, whilst meeting appropriate deadlines.
  • Setting and operating CNC machinery.
  • Creating, loading and modifying CNC programs.
  • Carrying out inspection of one’s own work and final inspection on others.
  • Ensuring all parts are manufactured to drawing and specified tolerances.
  • Work scheduling.
  • Stock management.
  • Calibration management.
  • Other general workshop duties when required.

Skills and experience required for a CNC Operator:

  • This position is ideally suited to a multiskilled person, with experience of Fanuc/Siemens controls, AutoCAD, Jetcam NUM controls.
  • Applicants must have a sound engineering background.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Competent in the use of measuring equipment such as vernier calipers, height gauges and micrometers.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
