- Fabrication and MIG Wedling Experience
- Undertake all tasks of own trade and noncore activities of other dissimilar trades and maybe required instructing others
- Ability to prioritise own work
- Advise and inform of any defects found in the course of your duties
- Complete necessary paperwork according to Depot Procedures and adhere to such procedures
- Ensure that work is completed in a clean and tidy manner
- Take care of all working property and handle it in a safe working manner, ensuring it is returned to its proper location
- Deliver and be responsible for quality of work undertaken and to required standards
- Non-core activity may require checking to ensure it meets required standards
- Input of data (IT)
- Follow and work to all site safety standards and rules
- Follow all work to all technical instructions
Education Requirements/Person Specification:
- Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent In Welding or similar qualification or Time served apprenticeship or equivalent at NVQ Level 3
- Trained in problem solving techniques, root cause analysis and team working
- Ability to work to a high level of detail and precision
- Ability to follow technical instruction both written and verbal
- Not essential – NVQ Level 3 in non-core trade i.e. Engineering Maintenance/Production or equivalent qualification
