We are seeking a Maintenance Shift leader our client based at their impressive site in Telford, this is a full-time, permanent position working a continental shift pattern. The Role

Joining the Production Maintenance team, you will manage a team of Maintenance Engineers to support the achievement of SEQCD and departmental targets. Providing planned,. Preventative, routine and emergency maintenance for all plant and equipment services to support business needs.

Requirements within the role

• To line manage a small team of maintenance engineers to meet SEQCD and Departmental
• Acting as the senior technical resource onsite  to deal with site based emergencies (out of hours as required)
• Manage and prioritise engineers to respond to and resolve reactive, planned, preventative and emergency maintenance requests submitted to CMMS to minimise downtime
• Ensuring that installation woks (Mechanical and Electrical) are successfully executed. This includes supporting production equipment adjustments, including supplies and services to work equipment
• Update CMM, completing Works Order Information and spares/ repair requirements
• Health and Safety activities including both full and rapid risk assessments of tasks and occasional working under permit to work
• Playing an active role in the company’s Continuous Improvement activities including Kaizen, 5S and ensuring all works are compliant with Health & Safety standards and risk assessments

Experience, Key Skills and Attributes

• Demonstrable experience as a multi skilled maintenance engineer within a high-volume automated manufacturing environment
• HNC in Engineering, City & Guilds 2800 Level 3 or equivalent and City & Guilds 2382 – IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Ideally you will have completed a recognised apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Proven experience in fault finding and repair on PLC’s, electrical, robotic, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
• You must have good communication skills and be highly organised due to requirement for planning manpower and workload
• Previous experience in people management// leadership is essential for this role
