We are seeking an CAD Designer to work for a joinery manufacturer in Leeds called specialising in shop-fittings and bespoke commercial furniture.

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join the team. As a Technical Designer you will play a pivotal role in translating design concepts into precise, manufacturable joinery solutions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and functionality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with our sales team to understand project requirements and client expectations.
• Translate design concepts and sketches into detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• Create 3D models and to visualize designs and assist with project presentations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on design modifications to optimize manufacturability.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware while considering cost-efficiency and quality.
• Work closely with production team, providing technical guidance and support throughout the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer in the bespoke joinery or woodworking industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Strong knowledge of joinery construction techniques and woodworking processes.
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and hardware commonly used in bespoke joinery.
• Knowledge of Bespoke Joinery Manufacturing is critical. At least 5 years experience is required in this field
