What You'll Do:

You will be a key figure in the development of automotive electrical components, driving their lifecycle from conception to integration. This crucial role will involve collaborating closely with suppliers and delineating the component specs. Bridging the gap between suppliers and project teams will be a significant part of your responsibility, ensuring the quality and punctuality of deliverables. Immersing yourself in systems engineering principles, you'll be pivotal in the evolution and integration of components.

Responsibilities:

• You will support the development and build of measurement systems and prototype vehicle systems including, Radar, Ultrasonics, Ethernet, PS, CAN, and Dspace Micro Autobox units.
• You will support the integration of prototype-assisted driving systems into vehicles.
• You will understand & implement any requirements & improvements from feedback into future designs.
• You will support the maintenance and continuous improvement of measurement systems and system installations.
• You will support issue resolution effectively and efficiently.
• You will support the testing of software tools and provide feedback to developers.
• You will develop and deliver technical documentation, user manuals and training to our internal customers.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Experience in the integration of systems into vehicles
• A good theoretical and practical knowledge of automotive communication networks
• Significant hands-on electrical and mechanical build experience
• Experience of using command line software in both MSDOS and LINUX platforms
• Experience of writing and debugging scripts (Shell, Python, PowerShell)
• A comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
• Experience of working in a Linux environment
• Experience of working to and managing integration and building timing plans
• A driving license valid in the UK
• To be able to be an effective team member and support the growth of your peers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A degree or HNC/HND in a relevant field such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
