The Role

Our client is seeking experienced Setting Out Engineers to join the MEH alliance on the Hinkley Point C construction project. The main duties of this position include conducting layout surveys before equipment arrives on site, supporting installation teams in locating equipment, conducting post-installation surveys, ensuring compliance with designed tolerances, and providing dimensional control during equipment erection. The engineer must work safely and responsibly, following construction design and management regulations. They will also review setting out data, perform quality checks, report issues to the Surveying Lead, adhere to specifications, provide accurate centreline and level data for installation purposes, conduct surveys on pipe spools, and attend site meetings with project stakeholders. Instrument calibration checks are also part of the role. Requirements:
 

  • Surveying or Engineering qualifications or suitable experience
  • Experience in the use of survey equipment (Total Station, digital level) and the production of survey reports.
  • Conversant with all related legislation, codes, and standards.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Experience in MS Office - Excel, Word
