Are you a qualified Maintenance Engineer with line management experience? 

As a Maintenance Supervisor ( internally known as a Production Maintenance Supervisor) at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

  • The hours are 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday with a basic salary up to £41,064 plus Car/allowance ( £7,106)  upto10% Bonus, Pension, 25+8 holidays.
  • You will be covering workshop requirements for all Greater Manchester containers/skips also looking after the site maintenance across our HWRCs in the region. 

What will I be doing?

  • This role will be responsible for the team of maintenance technicians, providing technical support and ensuring the workshop equipment is safe, effective and efficient.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the management and teams at the production facility as well as working closely with internal and external customers.
  • You will set and monitor housekeeping standards and ensure that maintenance spend is within agreed targets.
  • The successful candidate will also seek opportunities for continuous improvements by driving change to reduce maintenance costs and improve overall efficiency.
  • You will also be maintaining the skips and containers for operational requirements throughout the region. 

What are the requirements?

  • You'll have experience of working in a workshop environment including welding, shot blasting and painting equipment.
  • Ideally you will have supervisory or team leading experience but we are willing to accept applications from Senior Technicians who are looking to move into a managerial position.
  • Further training and qualifications needed for the role include Health & Safety (IOSH), but any required training can and will be provided.
  • IT literacy is also essential for this role.
