Production Machinist

GPS are recruiting for a Wood Production Machinist based in Walthamstow. This role will support the production team and will require the successful candidate to perform key duties in the production of the companies’ niche products. The candidate will need to perform up to three factory process; Bowl Boring (Drilling), Inside Papering (Sandpapering) & Filing.
This role is very task driven and will require the successful candidate to carryout but not limited to the following technical tasks
- Understand the dimensions of the processes
- Set up machine in accordance with process
- Accurately complete the process as requested
- Work within the agreed tolerances
- Maintain the agreed quality levels
- Reach the agreed efficiency targets
- Request feedback when unsure of process
Key Criteria/Skill
- Previous experience in a engineering role would be advantageous
- Understand technical competencies
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Meticulous and excellent attention to detail
- Efficient and well organised
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Motivated and committed to the role
