Job title:                 Engineer Manager (Multi Skilled)                                                                 

Reporting to:        Technical & Engineering Director

Hours per week:  39.5

Shift patterns:      08:00 to 17:00 Mon-Thurs, 14:00 Fri

Annual salary:      £40,000 -£50,000

A Manufacturing company located in Oldbury are now recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join their team.

Due to significant growth and organisational re-structuring our client now need to strengthen their maintenance and engineering team, which has brought about the following vacancy:

The Ideal Engineer Manager will have:

Engineering Skills

• Mechanical & Electrical maintenance skills and experience
• Ability to read drawings (mechanical / electrical)
• Automotive background (preferable)
• Paint experience (preferable)
• Understanding of Pneumatics /Fluid logic
• Ability to fault find: pumps / motors / impellors

Management Skills

• Be able to project manage engineering projects
• Manage PM schedule and drive improvements to the Business
• Report on monthly Engineering objectives
• Good PC skills and working knowledge of using Excel and have used an Excel based PM system
• Well developed communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to work well in a team environment and on own initiative
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Experience of maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring Health & Safety requirements are met and procedures followed.
• A Full valid UK Driving Licence
• Flexible and adaptable approach to:
  • work across all 2 sites as required
  • work over time to meet with business needs
  • cover shifts in the event of holidays
  • respond to occasional out of hours call outs
