We have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our Commercial team in Ireland. You will support our Project team in the commercial aspects of our business.

The successful candidate will be from a M&E background. Able to work at all levels from end client through to our sub-contractor supply chain ensuring risk reduction on terms and conditions, cash flow on projects and final account payments.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen to drive revenue growth, optimize costs, and maximize profitability while maintaining positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee procurement activities, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and delivery schedules.

  • Implement supply chain best practices, inventory management techniques, and logistics optimization strategies to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Monitor supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier collaboration and mitigate supply chain risks.

  • Review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the interests of the organization and mitigate legal and financial risks.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards governing commercial transactions, pricing policies, and terms of service.

  • Collaborate with legal counsel, risk management, and compliance teams to address contractual disputes, resolve legal issues, and mitigate liabilities arising from commercial activities.

  • Analyze financial data, sales forecasts, and budgetary targets to evaluate business performance, identify variances, and develop actionable insights to drive revenue growth and cost containment.

  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management, board of directors, and external stakeholders to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Implement financial controls, expense management policies, and budgetary controls to ensure fiscal discipline, resource optimization, and profitability enhancement.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and foster long-term loyalty and trust.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in commercial management, preferably in the M&E / Construction and or Energy sector.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
