The role is for a position working within an I.T. Support team within a group of companies based in Stalybridge, Cheshire. We are looking for an enthusiastic IT professional to join the team.

Main Duties

  • First point of contact for customers reporting IT issues via a multitude of channels (including phone, email, and ticket system)
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Prioritising tickets and managing queues
  • Creating and following documented procedures
  • Investigating technical issues and applying fixes
  • Liaising with internal colleagues to ensure the correct solution is implemented first time
  • This role will also require the ability to drive and attend client sites when remote solutions are unsuccessful or unsuitable. A company vehicle will be provided for these situations.

Required Skills:

  • A good level of technical knowledge and experience
  • Understanding of file / sharing permissions, Active Directory
  • Networking knowledge (IPv4, VLANs, NAT, Proxy etc.)
  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and a willingness to make correct support decisions and ask for help when necessary
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Remote troubleshooting
