£33,000 - £35,000/annum Neg DOE + exc benefits

My client, a specialist high precision component and machine manufacturer, have a fantastic opportunity for a Horizontal Borer.

The Job:

  • Set, operate, and edit programmes on a Horizontal Borer using Siemens or Heidenhain controls.
  • Production of bespoke components as per drawings
  • Confident to follow measuring output for exact adherence to specifications.
  • Inspection of own work using conventional measurement techniques and diagnose any errors.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and general upkeep.

About you:

  • Experience of working within a metal cutting environment producing precision parts to tight tolerances
  • Experience of operating conventional milling and boring machines
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Confidence and the ability to work in a precision engineering environment and the ability to work on bespoke and one-off items.
  • Experience of CNC milling machines. Tooling and set-ups would be a distinct advantage.
  • Confidence of CNC controls and electrics would be an advantage.
