My client, a specialist high precision component and machine manufacturer, have a fantastic opportunity for a Horizontal Borer.

The Job:
- Set, operate, and edit programmes on a Horizontal Borer using Siemens or Heidenhain controls.
- Production of bespoke components as per drawings
- Confident to follow measuring output for exact adherence to specifications.
- Inspection of own work using conventional measurement techniques and diagnose any errors.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and general upkeep.
About you:
- Experience of working within a metal cutting environment producing precision parts to tight tolerances
- Experience of operating conventional milling and boring machines
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Confidence and the ability to work in a precision engineering environment and the ability to work on bespoke and one-off items.
- Experience of CNC milling machines. Tooling and set-ups would be a distinct advantage.
- Confidence of CNC controls and electrics would be an advantage.
