Job Description

Your main responsibility will be to maintain plumbing systems and building services across various client properties, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently.

From diagnosing and fixing plumbing issues to conducting routine maintenance and installing new fixtures, you'll be at the forefront of keeping our clients' facilities in working order.

Our client will be working with the GPA under contract to a High-Profile Client.  For this role security clearance to a high government level will be required which must be maintained throughout the term of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned plumbing equipment in accordance with plumbing codes, diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's maintenance instructions
  • Repair cracked pipes and opens clogged drainage. May work from ladders, scaffolding, hydraulic man lifts and other high-rise equipment
  • Observe plumbing systems and fixtures in operation to detect failures or locate causes of malfunctions
  • Inspect used parts and equipment for changes in calibration, dimensional requirements and manufacturer's specifications. Tests and calibrates systems and equipment to ensure proper system operations using test equipment or precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain complex plumbing systems including equipment washers and steam cleaning devices, air compressors, hydraulic lifts, water and drainage systems, and sprinkler systems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and leak detection tests; solders or brazes tubing and piping; pours lead joints and seat equipment; installs and repairs complete combinations of couplings, unions and joints
  • Install and replaces components in water heaters, tanks, sinks, showers, fuel and oil storage facilities in compliance with manufacturer's specifications by using approved procedures and test equipment

About You

  • Plumbing and domestic heating technician (level 3)
  • Significant experience in providing mechanical building services maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing
  • Security clearance to a high government level will be required
  • Significant previous experience in providing reactive and PPM building services maintenance
  • Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties
  • Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements
  • Evidence Training and competence in managing High Risk Works (Mechanical)
  • Ability to explore a situation, assess and offer different options to formulate a plan that meets or exceeds objectives and expectations
