Lead CMF Designer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Visualize, Create and Present ideas in the form of mood board, inspiration and renderings.
• Use digital tools, values and procedures to drive design programs and presentations.
• Create high level renderings, visualisations & physical assets to support design and management reviews.
• Identify new materials specifically to meet company’s sustainability agenda, be a vital part of the product development process.
• Identify design trends in Colour Material and Finish and translate them into design Insights to create strong design propositions.
• Deliver work on time with accuracy. Take responsibility of design quality and drive innovation.

Experience & Skills

• Understanding of Automotive Design with sensitivity to products in automotive market.
• Proficiency in Digital Tools is a must with skills and knowledge of delivering quick programs.

• Demonstrate deep understanding of materials, finishes and their applications in an automotive context.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with change and a willingness to learn new skills.

• Should have passion to understand the latest trends in Design and be able to explore new direction in colour, material and finishes.
• Strong team working skills to understand the needs and build a learning relationship.
• Knowledge of design principles and able to understand and solve problems in engineering and suppliers to achieve good design.
• Knowledge of Alias, Blender Key shot, Maya and other 3D modelling and visualization tools will be a plus (not essential)
• Patience to reiterate, deliver and self-driven.

Qualifications

• 7+ yearS experience with an automotive OEM or consultancy. Experience in delivering production programs and leading a small CMF team.
• Degree/Diploma in Transportation Design/ Product Design/Industrial Design will be preferred.
