My client who operates a major gas storage facility in Hampshire are recruiting for an Electrical Technician on a staff basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience on Low Voltage electrical distribution and PLC control equipment and associated control signals.

• Possess an electrical qualification (apprenticeship or NVQ level 3) with an excellent working knowledge of electrical control systems.

• Possess a sound understanding of process instrumentation control systems.

• CompEx Inspection Certificate Ex01 to Ex04. • Experience of HV switching and operation would be an advantage.

• Previous experience of working in hazardous areas, preferably the oil and gas industry

Principal Responsibilities

The specific duties of the Electrical & Instrumentation Technician shall be as delegated by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and/or the Operations Supervisor/Superintendent and will include but may not be limited to:

• Identifying, scheduling, carrying out and the recording of planned and corrective maintenance checks and repairs

• Carrying out the routine servicing of various types of electrical, electronic, and electrical control equipment such as distribution panels, motors, controllers, starters etc. • Reporting of all maintenance activities into the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

• Inspection, maintenance, and replacement of ATEX equipment in hazardous areas.

• Maintaining of all site services in good working order and applicable to safe working practices.
