MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING WORKER - PERMANENT - FULL TIME - BASED IN BURY ST EDMUNDS - MONDAY TO THURSDAY 7.30AM TO 4.30PM AND FRIDAYS 7.30AM TO 2PM. HOURLY RATE £13 PER HOUR TO £16 PER HOUR (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE) OVERTIME AT 1.5 X AND GENERALLY AT UP TO 7 HOURS PER WEEK
Full-time role with a family-run engineering company in Mildenhall. The company have been established over 40 years. Opportunities for long term career progression and training are available to the right candidate. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to have variety in their working day as the role will involve learning new skills across a variety of departments.
Experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, a skill set, preferably in sheet metal is an advantage .
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use measuring equipment to check their own work.
An eye for detail in an environment where quality is important.
Ability to learn and adapt to production sheet metal equipment, training will be given. Fastener insertion, graining, and brushing . Forming components.
Assembly and bench fitting tasks, using rivet guns and hand tools.
Setting and operating press tools.
