A global leader in industrial automation and instrumentation solutions, mainly to the Oil & Gas, Chemical and Pharma industries are looking for a Project manager to join their team on a contract basis.

Info about what the role entails

The Project Manager will manage the execution of industrial automation projects and their delivery compliant with agreed contract and project objectives. The Project Manager will be the overall focal point for customer, end-user, suppliers and management. The Project Management team is responsible for the project from contract hand-over from sales until project closing.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Support and advise sales and customer organisations with project management expertise in the sales phase, resulting in customer understanding and improvement of the company’s competitive position
• Review, clarify, and accept project objectives, scope, deliverables, budget, schedule deadlines, and terms & conditions
• In line with the project objectives: devise, conclude, and maintain a workable total project plan to accomplish the project scope within schedule deadlines and budget. Meet quality requirements taking safety as a first priority
• Ensure that project objectives are met by monitoring project progress in terms of technical implementation, changes, resources, schedule, costs, and cash plan and by taking immediate corrective action where necessary
• Perform strict scope and change control and the most efficient execution compliant with the contract and project objectives, leading to improved financial results
• Formalize the customer acceptance of the project and bring it to an orderly end. Formalize project closing in case the project is put on hold or cancelled

Requirements of the Project Manager

• Demonstratable experience with Control Systems and Industrial Automation
• Experience managing small to large multidisciplinary and complex engineering projects

• CDM experience
• NEC 3 OR 4 contract experience
• Familiarity with National Gas projects highly desirable
