Salary - £35K - £40K plus vehicle and fuel for site visits

About the Company:

Amazing opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work with one of Northern Ireland’s well-established Tier 2 Main Contractors.

They are looking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding company and they will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills, and have strong leadership qualities.

Our client is going through a very busy period and ideally want to get someone with similar experience who can hit the ground running! 

The Role:

• Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts.
• Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems.
• Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation.
• Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments.
• Preparation of Interim valuations and final account.
• Managing and valuing variations.
• Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts.
• Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships.
• Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself.

Requirements:

• Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction management.
• 5+ years’ experience with a Main Contractor in the Building Sector in NI or ROI.
• Experience working within Social Housing Sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft excel and project.
• Driven Team player.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates commercial awareness – market, competition, value for money.
• Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
