As an Internal Account Manager at our organization, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding our client base through proactive sales initiatives. Utilizing your strong communication and relationship-building skills, you will ensure the long-term success and satisfaction of our customers. This role predominantly involves virtual sales and telephone communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Achieve set profitability and revenue targets by effectively managing customer accounts and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Take ownership of call KPIs, ensuring consistent and high-quality communication with customers.
  • Proactively identify and pursue additional business opportunities with existing customers to expand the number of spending accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to optimize customer experience and deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Attend sales meetings and provide accurate and timely information as required.
  • Generate and follow up on leads generated through marketing activities to contribute to the sales pipeline.
  • Identify projects that could benefit from the involvement of Area Sales Managers and External Sales Managers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing internal systems and Microsoft Office tools with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Take charge of personal development by actively participating in performance evaluations and learning initiatives aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in sales or account management, preferably in a B2B environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for building and maintaining relationships.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.

Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.

Proficiency in using internal systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Commitment to observing Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

A good standard of education, particularly in Maths & English.

Influencing and motivational skills are critical.

Ability to finish projects and tasks to completion.

Strong day-to-day planning capabilities.

Previous experience in a proactive sales environment is essential.

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft products.

Natural telephone manner with all levels of customers.

Knowledge of Automation and Control products is advantageous.

Ability to handle assertive challenges.
