We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Lead - Contracts. This role will be a mix of being based at our head office in Ipswich along with visits to sites within our operating areas as well as travel to client offices.  

Main duties include:

• Support the Contracts Director in the commercial management of the operating regions.  
• Monitor various internal reports and liaise with regional teams where relevant.
• Provide feedback and commentary to the Board on projects which you identify as possible high risk.
• Maintain sufficient resources to support the commercial objectives of the company.
• Identify potential risks and evaluate options for control.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate the resolution of disputes with the assistance of the regional and site staff where necessary.
• Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements.
• Liaise with Finance Director on a regular basis to discuss items such as cash collection, subcontractor issues, CVRs and any other relevant item that may be required from time to time.

Are you the person we are looking for?

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills along with extensive knowledge of NEC, with the ability to manage contract administration and experience of adjudications and dealing with disputes.

You will have a degree level qualification or experience with RICS or equivalent qualification.

We are looking for someone with proven experience as a successful Commercial Manager/ Managing QS/ Senior QS within the civils industry.

A UK driving license is mandatory for this role along with the right to live and work in the UK.
