Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Stress Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role extends beyond the traditional responsibilities of a Stress Engineer by not only ensuring the structural integrity of designs through meticulous stress analysis but also by playing a pivotal role in the compilation of stress reports to validate compliance with stringent structural standards.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Stress Engineer:

• Lead the preparation and execution of structural test plans, including report compilation and test observation.
• Engage directly with clients through site visits and participation in airframe surveys to ensure project alignment and success.
• Review and validate stress reports and Finite Element (FE) models for accuracy and compliance.
• As the Senior Stress Engineer you will assist the Line Manager in various capacities, including training, project quotations, management, and client interactions. (A natural progression for your career development).

Skills & Expertise Required for the Senior Stress Engineer:

• Proficient in hand calculations for stress and strain based on fundamental principles.
• In-depth understanding of the properties and failure mechanisms of both metallic and non-metallic materials.
• Familiarity with JAR structural regulations and certification specifications.
• Proficient in interpreting and verifying engineering drawings.
• Stay informed on current and future technological advancements.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of confident interaction both internally and with external partners.
• Ability to quickly adapt to various team and project dynamics while grasping different organizational processes.
• Independent problem-solving skills with a creative approach to addressing challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of efficiency and precision in work.
• Proficient in the use of engineering tools such as MATHCAD.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in stress engineering, with a proven track record of project leadership with minimal supervision.
