SALARY

• £14.00 to £16.00 PER HOUR
• DAYS ROLE
• Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:30pm
• 26 days holiday plus all Bank Holidays

JOB SUMMARY

Alecto Recruitment are now in a working partnership with a highly regarded client within the Engineering industry in the Crewe area. Looking for a skilled and experienced Manual Machinist with Turning / Manual Lathes experience to join their ever-expanding team of precision engineers. You will be required to operate manual lathes, as such you should have previous experience operating turning machines. To manufacture high quality precision engineered parts for the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Making one-offs and small batches of complex precision machined components from various materials.
• Accurately inspecting and measuring components using various inspection equipment including, but not limited to, Micrometres, Verniers and Plug Gauges.
• Set up and operate manual machines, you would be required to set and operate manual lathe machines (Colchester Lathes).
• Proficient in reading engineering manufacturing drawings to produce parts and components.
• Ability to work to very high tolerances.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Have relevant knowledge, training and experience working in the machine environment.
• Time-served and indentured to ONC & HNC, NVQ or equivalent qualifications.
• Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written.
• Be self-motivated to work individually but adaptable to work as part of a team.
