We’re looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join a global leader in precision manufacturing at their site based in Burnley.

This role will include working from engineering drawings, collaborating with teammates in a supportive environment, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you be doing as a CNC Machinist?

• Setting up tools and loading materials onto CNC machine
• Carrying out machining of components
• Measuring components produced on machines and using inspection equipment to ensure that components are manufactured to drawing dimensions and tolerances
• Reading, interpreting, and working from engineering drawings
• Contributing in a team working environment
• Contributing to continuous improvement
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Manually handling weights up to 25kg
• Completing quality documentation
• Using computer equipment for data purposes
• Working to lean theory
• Observing and practising the 5S principles

What do you need?

Time served as an engineer (or have an equivalent qualification)

• Experienced in working with stainless steels and machine programming
• Proficiency in setting up, operating and adjusting tool and fixture offsets on CNC machine tools
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• A knowledge of how to operate computer equipment for data purposes
