Our client is seeking a dynamic Technical Assistant to join their Project Team, where you'll dive into the world of bespoke designs within the Defence Maritime sector.

You'll be right in the heart of the action, collaborating with senior Engineers across diverse backgrounds, and together, you'll shape remarkable outcomes that leave a lasting impact.

What you will learn from this role:

  • Electrical system design
  • CAD (Electrical and mechanical)
  • The importance of safe systems and detail
  • How products are manufactured
  • Mechanical Design

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work seamlessly with the engineering and project teams to assist in achieving outstanding results.
  • Undertake a range of engineering tasks that support projects and programs, demonstrating adaptability and versatility while under the mentorship of senior engineers including:
  • Writing Test Specifications
  • Change Management
  • Drawing Updates
  • Schematic Updates
  • Site Work
  • Take part in internal and external meetings, putting your ideas forward to shape the future of the business.
  • Maintain thorough and organised documentation, following local operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 engineering qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ) OR completion of engineering apprenticeship, demonstrating a strong engineering background.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Quick learner, flexible and adaptable engineering approach, ready to tackle diverse challenges.
  • Highly organised.
