Technical Sales Manager

Location: Homebased covering South, Midlands and the North West Region

Salary: Circa £50k - £55k plus company car, bonus, credit card etc.  

A large, international company who manufacture DC Connectors and switch gears are now looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager.

Technical Sales Manager – Job Role:

The job will fill into two remits as below

Account Management – Work with the current customers from OEM’s such as JCB, Caterpillar, Princess Yachts to smaller distributors.  You will work with them on both existing products and new product development.  This will mean working closely with the engineering team.

New Business Development – Contacting potential new customers by attending conferences, exhibitions, email outreach, cold calling and trying to build relationships. 

This job will involve a lot of travel across the South and up into the North West of England. This job will be ideally situated to someone midlands based but not essential.

Technical Sales Manager – Person Requirements:

The ideal candidate MUST come from the Engineering / Manufacturing Industry as a Technical Sales Manager.  You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:

• Hold a recognised engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng
• Ideally have a strong Electro-Mechanical sales background or Electrical / Switchgears
• Have a proven successful sales background
• Hold a full UK Driving License
• Experienced in working from home and managing your own workload.
• Willing to travel nationally with the odd overnight stay.
