The company are a precision engineering company, established in supplying to industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, pharmaceutical etc who design and manufacture small pressed and machined parts and components. Due to continued success they are seeking to strengthen their team by the recruitment of a press toolmaker.
The position reports to the Engineering Manager and the main purpose of the role is to maintain and repair press tooling.
- To maintain and repair press tooling (single blank tools to multi stage progression)
- Strip down, repair and rebuild faulty tooling
- Update any tooling designs and company drawings and documentation
- Organising procurement for spares and repairs
- Support of setters, trainees and other engineers where required
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement
Are you a Toolmaker who hold the following skills and experience?
- Experience of precision toolmaking - maintain and repair
- Progression and single stage expertise
- Worked on tooling to very tight tolerances
- Worked with tungsten carbide materials
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings correctly and effectively
- Apprentice trained or hold an appropriate craft qualification
This position is based Birmingham, so is easily commutable from Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Dudley, Solihull, Walsall, Redditch, Bromsgrove.

Hours - Monday to Thursday - 7.30 to 4.15pm Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm
Salary £26,000 to £32,000 per annum
