My client requires a Design Engineer to be based from home on a long term contract role working on the design of a large scale Security systems such as CCTV and Access Control systems.

"Work From Home" / “Remote Working”

The client is working on the installation of security systems into commercial buildings throughout the UK and they need designers to join their business working from home.

The Design Engineer role will involve a number of the following duties below:

• Working closely with the projects team to ensure the designs are produced to specification

• Work with teams that are carrying out surveys on site to produce technical documentation – specifications, drawings, schematics etc.

• Support the Project Management team with any changes or additional works to the original design.

Person Specification:

• A high-level of competence in the design of Security Systems

• A demonstrable track record of system design in projects / corporate markets.

• The ability to plan and organise workload efficiently and to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.

• The ability to produce articulate word documents both technical and commercial detailing proposed system solutions in support of tender documents.

• The ability to communicate in a professional manner.

• Strong PC skills – Excel, Microsoft Project Manager, PowerPoint, Word.

• Commercial skills and general awareness.

• Energetic & enthusiastic team player.

In return the client can offer you a healthy day rate of £325 - 350 a day with weekly payments.
