We’re hiring for a Mechanical Fitter Leader join a manufacturer of sustainable equipment at their new start-of-the-art facility in Heywood.

This role not only demands technical proficiency but also offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, travel to client sites for installations, and uphold this teams commitment to delivering top-notch products.

What’s on offer?

• Up to £33,000 per anum
• Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Early finish on Fridays
• 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
• Annual bonus (based on company performance)
• Discounted rates at select retail stores

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

• Utilising static machinery, battery-powered tools including drills, and general hand tools
• Informing the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
• Successfully completing projects and following instructions from your manager
• Collaborating with other teams to minimise delays and meet high standards
• Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company
• Ensuring all test certificates and serial number logs are completed and kept up to date
• Occasionally travelling to work at client sites across the UK to fit and install the products
• Liaising with tradesmen and contractors at client sites as required

What do you need?

• Previous mechanical assembly experience
• City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• A full in date UK driving license
• The ability to read and follow manufacturing drawings
