Looking for a Hands on Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer/ Manager to start work as soon as possible. Someone who is very practical and can work well on their own and under pressure. A good all rounder who can take their hand to anything.

Duties will include everyday maintenance across the office and factory and include but not limited to – 

installing fixtures and fittings, joinery and plumbing maintenance, electrics, carrying out repairs to machinery and property.

Responsible for ensuring that site facilities, and machinery run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical.

The role

  • To lead site Maintenance department by providing a service that may require reactive or proactive approach.
  • Optimise availability, productivity and performance from plant and equipment on site and work with others to ensure an effective maintenance plan is in place and importantly adhered too.
  • Ensure that all work carried out meets the latest health and safety and environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures, whilst also mentoring and leading the departmental managers
  • Manage all maintenance and facilities activities on site including external contractors, acting as a technical specialist in relation to company projects including building improvements and repair.
  • Ensure that all risk assessments are undertaken and that safe systems of work are in place in relation to people, plant and equipment, property.
  • Manage all relevant inspections and testing comply with health and safety policy and insurers requirements.
  • Manage external contractors in the safe delivery of installations, maintenance, and service.
  • Ensure high levels of housekeeping are kept throughout all areas of responsibility.
  • Manage consumables inventory and replenishment of critical spares.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training working practices and processes.
  • MUST be a time served Electrical Maintenance Engineer
  • Proven experience of maintenance and facilities.
  • Conversant with systems for mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and control systems..
  • Possess a strong ability to analyse, resolve and implement solutions through solid problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to analyse and present data.
  • IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels.
  • Experience of Textile machines would be an advantage but not essential.
