Solar Roofer - Job Description

Overview

The role of the Solar Roofer is to ensure that the roofers achieve a successful install(s) on the day and that the daily schedule is delivered to the Health & Safety and quality standards expected. They are to support the roofers with technical queries and manage the daily routine to ensure: compliance, regulation and paperwork. They will also be responsible for daily calls the roofing teams to monitor the progress of jobs throughout the day. When required they will also be expected to ‘step up’ into the Roofing Supervisors role when that person is on leave or unavailable.

The successful candidate will be assessed at interview to ensure they understand and are happy with the requirements of the role shown below.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with company standards and procedures in the installation of solar roofing
• Ensuring paperwork is completed to standard and submitted on job completion,
• Ensuring jobs are completed to MCS and RECC standard,
• Ticket resolution as directed by the office,
• Ensure KPIs are met,
• Maintaining equipment and vehicle to high standard (Dress, Vehicles, Installations etc)
• Pre-vetting of jobs on LMS when required by Installation Controller, and survey support if required.
• Other tasks as reasonable requested by roofing supervisor and office staff.

• Solar roofing background – Desirable,
• Roofing background – Desirable,
• Working at heights experience - Essential
• MCS – Understanding desirable
• RECCs – Understanding desirable
