GPS Recruitment have partnered up with a busy engineering company based in Elland who provide bespoke solutions to different industries. They are a relatively young business operating for several years and are looking to expand the team.

Experienced CNC Miller operating a Hurco machine with conversational controls with the skills to operate various other machines.

As CNC Miller, you will work as part of the production team producing high quality, precision-machined parts to customer specifications.

Duties:

  • setting and operating CNC machines
  • checking machine outputs / inspecting machined parts,
  • have input with continuous improvement onsite.

Qualifications/experience:

  • Experience setting and operating Hurco (conversational) CNC milling machines.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and programming techniques, including CAD/CAM.
  • Experience in the production of precision-machined parts.
  • Excellent knowledge of measuring tools and techniques, and the ability to use this knowledge to inspect parts to required tolerances.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications, as well as written instructions and quality control documentation.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, able to work well in a team environment.
  • Apprenticed trained in mechanical engineering, essential.

Standard engineering hours:

7.00am – 4.30pm, Monday – Thursday. 7.00am – 12.30pm on Fridays

 39 hours, offering flexible hours
