Junior Electronics Engineer

Provectus Recruitment are working with a leading Consultancy based in Cambridge, that specialist in the research and development & manufacture of cutting-edge electronic, sensor-based solutions.

This dynamic business work in range of industries and solve real-world problems around Electronics, Signal Processing, Sensing, Cloud connectivity and measurement and infrastructure, via fundamental engineering & research and development.

We are actively looking for an Electronic Engineer with a few years experience post-grad, to join a world-class Technical Team of Electronics Engineers.

The Role

As a Junior Electronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of electronic systems, focusing on electronic design and analogue electronics. Working closely with experienced engineers, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills, whilst contributing to the creation of groundbreaking technology.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This is a junior/associate level role; therefore, we are not looking for established engineers working in Cambridge based consultancies. This role is suited towards Electronics Engineers that have a good understanding of fundamental electronics and a desire to pursue a career in R&D, consulting, and exciting technology.

This business is interested in candidates that have recently graduated or have 2+ years’ experience in industry, who are looking to develop their own capabilities. We are particularly interested in people that spend their spare time taking things apart, being inquisitive, owning technical related projects and generally have an enthusiasm for both electronics and engineering.

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Degree in Electronics or related field
  • Understanding of Electronic Design and software packages used
  • Experience or knowledge of Analogue Electronics (not expert level, academics is fine)
  • An appreciation or understanding of Signal Processing (again, not expert level)
  • Familiarity with microprocessors and their coding (Not essential)
