CompEx Electrician / Electrical Supervisor - MOD Base

Location: MOD Base, Salisbury

Salary: £60,000 base salary, plus weekends, and additional overtime available. 1.5 times after 40 hours, 1.5 times for 6 hours on Saturdays, 2x time overtime on Sundays). YOU DO NOT have to work weekends but there is plenty of shift work and overtime if you want to increase your income.

Role Outline:

We are looking for a certified CompEx level 1-4, Electrical Supervisor to undertake critical duties at a MOD base. This role is suited for individuals with a CompEx certification and experience in hazardous area electrical work. Candidates with a background in heavy engineering projects like power, industrial engineering, utilities, or infrastructure are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in hazardous areas within the MOD base.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for hazardous area work.
• Lead and manage electrical projects, completing them within designated timelines and budgets.
• Oversee site work schedules and effectively manage site teams.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere to safety protocols.
• Contribute to financial decision-making processes, emphasizing value engineering and cost-effectiveness.
• Regularly report on project progress, addressing challenges and achieving milestones.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners, ensuring effective communication and project coordination.

Requirements:

• CompEx certification and experience in hazardous area electrical work.
• Background in electrical engineering, particularly in heavy engineering projects.
• Demonstrated ability in project management and team leadership.
• Skilled in managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Strong communication skills for effective client and team interactions.
• Familiarity with current electrical codes and safety standards in hazardous areas.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for MOD base access.
