Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer with a global presence.  They are looking for an Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to maintain and repair their manufacturing machinery.  This is a permanent role.

Ideally they need someone who is Multi Skilled / Dual Skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, but with an Electrical bias.  However, they would accept someone who is only an Electrical Engineer / Electrical Technician, to be trained in the mechanical side.

Location:  Swadlincote

Shift Pattern:  Days and Nights on rotation - 12 hour shifts (6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am) 4 on 5 off, 5 on 4 off, 5 on 5 off.

Salary:

•    Multiskilled / Dual skilled Engineer - £43,605 including shift allowance.
•    Electrical Engineer (single skilled) - £41,737 including shift allowance.

Your duties as a Maintenance Engineer will include:

•    Completing of both Electrical and Mechanical (M&E) breakdown repairs
•    Scheduled PPM of plant and equipment
•    Fault diagnoses and repair
•    DC & AC drives, motors and gearboxes
•    PLC fault finding
•    Pneumatic/Hydraulic repairs
•    Safe isolation and safe working
•    Electrical / mechanical installation

Candidate Requirements:

•    Electrically biased Engineer
•    Apprentice trained, or timed served Maintenance Engineer
•    HNC / NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Desirable)
•    Experience in a Factory / Manufacturing environment
•    Autonomous and team working
•    Understanding and able to read technical engineering drawings
•    Excellent communication skills
