Excellent opportunity for a a skilled Structural Technician to join a highly established and reputable Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy in Leicester. Historically they have earned and maintained a reputation for delivering technical expertise to a wide range of projects of all sizes, values and complexities.
The role of Structural Technician will offer you a great variation in projects and typically you can expect to be producing and completing structural drawing packages and details in Revit and CAD for projects of varying size and nature from residential schemes through to large commercial developments.
The role is based on 37.5 hours a week and the successful applicant will possess the following skills / expertise:
- Be proficient using AutoCAD and Revit Structures.
- Have gained solid skills and expertise having worked within in a structural engineering environment
- Be able to work from calculations and sketches to produce high quality drawings and Revit models with limited supervision and instruction from engineers.
- Be willing and able to solve problems and present solutions.
- Be willing and able to professionally communicate (verbally and written) with clients, other professionals and contractors.
- Understand the construction process and how buildings are designed and constructed.
- Understand the BIM process and demonstrate the importance of coordination.
- Experience in steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry and foundations.
