Our client is a privately owned MEP design consultancy operating with a combined 25 years of industry experience providing Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health and Sustainability design for projects across all sectors, with values ranging from £10k to £100m. Working alongside end users, architects, building surveyors and contractors, the business has built a solid reputation for delivering schemes particularly across leisure, retail, residential, commercial and education.

Through Involvement during all stages of a project, the company’s objective is to ensure the delivery of a building that is efficient, comfortable and cost effective. This has led to the development of strong working relationships with various customers and resulted in a large proportion of live schemes secured through repeat business.

Operating with the security of a strong order book, the company is looking to move to the next stage of his natural evolution, with a small number of key hires highlighted across the M&E Design Team which will support organic growth. These roles include Electrical Design, Mechanical (HVAC) Design and Building Physics, all important additions who will support live and future schemes, adding strength and depth to what is already a talented group.

Mechanical Design Engineer

The appointment of a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer comes at a time of exciting growth, with significant opportunity to progress. Working directly with the business owners under a flat management structure, you will have direct access to the key decision makers and enjoy genuine project control, empowered to deliver a client facing service with the overall responsibility of delivery. Experience of designing full heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for a wide range of buildings is essential, with a proven history of delivering projects to time and cost. Working knowledge of industry software such as Hevacomp would be advantageous, removing the need for extensive training on systems that most Intermediate or Senior level Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers are already familiar with. Additionally, working knowledge of Building Physics software, such as IES or TAS, would also be highly desirable.

Situated in Harrogate and offering a friendly, flexible working environment that facilitates a mixture of working from the office and home, these positions would best suit technically strong Engineers interested in working amongst a small close-knit team that enjoy their work.
