Salary – Highly competitive based on experience

Hours - Monday – Friday with a 9-day fortnight (every other Friday is a non-working day)

Our client is a very well-established precision engineering manufacturer whose core of our products being supplied to more than 50 countries.  They manufacture and supply an extensive range of cutting-edge precision technology directly to end users and offer a comprehensive capability as a prime supplier.  They are looking for a Test, repair and inspection to join their expanding team working at their great manufacturing facility in Sandwich.

Are you an experienced Quality Electronics Tester?

Do you a HND or BSc in Electronics, or similar?

Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-depth testing and inspection of returned products to determine issues around design and production quality level
  • Use the company reporting system to note and detail any non-conforming products
  • Test product using ATE and ESS with relevant testing protocols.
  • Repair and defects detected in circuit boards tested where possible.
  • Ensure reporting documents are completed and filed in line with deadlines.
  • Carry out rolling reviews of testing and reporting practices, adding value and improvement where required.
  • Ensure any deviations are reported to the Engineering team for correction.
  • Be an active part of the team with regard to promoting the improvement of business practices and standards.
  • Any other tasks required by management.

Person Specification:

  • Previous working experience within an engineering/quality-related production role is required for this role
  • A sound knowledge of electronic devices & handling is desirable for this role
  • Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in an electronics discipline
  • Must have experience with automatic testing equipment
  • It is imperative candidate is capable of identifying root issues on simple failures and using FFF methodology to do so where required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
