Night Shift CNC Programmer

Based in Leighton Buzzard, Beds working for a company who have a very steady workforce with high percentage being with the company for over 10 years and have never made redundancies in their 30 year history.
Currently seeking a late shift CNC Programmer working on a variety of different 2 Axis Turning machines mainly using CAM systems online programming experience of G code programming is beneficial but training will be given. This role is replacing a person moving to the day shift.
Working in a small team Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 4.30 pm to 3.30 am, Thursday 4.30 pm to 1.30 am. Closed over Christmas holidays which don’t come out of the holiday allocation.
The role will include:-
- writing new CNC programs, editing existing programs,
- full machine setup including tooling, speeds, feeds etc,
- producing one offs, low and medium volume precision parts using hard and soft metals
- Producing parts from 300mm to 3m in length using lifting equipment and hoist training will be provided
Looking for an experience CNC programmer working in a workshop environment and is hands on and quality conscientious together with being self motivated.
This is a night shift role and candidates must be able to cover these shifts 4 days a week as shown above.
