Senior Mechanical Design Engineer needed for an innovative Scientific Equipment Manufacturer in the Berkshire area.
My client are a profitable and respected company supplying Scientific equipment to the Engineering, Research and Academic sectors.
They are looking for a Senior Engineer to help take new product designs through the concept and design stage and into production.
Typical Duties will include:
Concept agreement with Optical and other discipline leaders
Mechanical design of intricate mechanisms for optical alignment and instrumentation equipment.
CAD Design Drawings (for Manufacturing / build purposes)
NPI - integration to planning, Use of MRP / ERP systems alongside communication with production team.
Techical leadership and supervision of graduate / junior engineers
You will likely come from a Mechanical Engineering / Electro-mech background with an awareness of mechanism design using a variety of precise manufacturing techniques. Preferably, but not necessarily degree qualified.
