In 2020 Greenshields JCB  purchased Broadcown Power Engineering (BPE). With almost 40 years of experience, Broadcrown Power Engineering understand the needs of the critical power generation industry. We are able to identify how best to design and install reliable power systems, as well as assist with contingency planning and disaster recovery.

Purpose/Brief Summary of Role

This role is for a causal worker (zero hours), that can support our busy Broadcrown Power Engineering team and assist them when a loadbank test is required on site, across the UK. The work will be adhoc and on an as required basis. The most suitable candidate will need to be a competent driver that is able to tow a trailer, carrying a loadbank and associated cables to site. They will be required to unload, uncoil, lay and put back the loadback cables before and after use. Our qualified engineers will connect and disconnect the cables to and from the loadbank.

Nissan Navara will be provided by BPE as an when each job is booked in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a 4x4 (Nissan Navara) and towing a trailer carrying a loadbank and associated cables
• Unload, uncoil, lay and put back the cables from load bank to generator (engineer will connect cables and operate loadbank)
• On completion gather up cables
• Tow back to Marchington
• Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
• Present a professional image at all times
• Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues, and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Driving license
• Towing experience
