Due to business growth, we are looking to recruit for a Electrical Design Engineer for a leading manufacturing engineering company based near Skipton. This provide a rare opportunity to join a leading company who are a household name within their industry allowing you to gain exposure to a large variety of different disciplines.

The main purpose of the role is to produce electrical schematic diagrams and support documents for machines in the company product range.

The ideal candidate will be a minimum HNC qualified in Electrical Engineering

Hours - Monday - Friday 0745AM - 4PM (Flexitime available) Key Responsibilities:

• Producing Electrical schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, build specifications and supplementary forms and reports using ePlan P8 Software
• Producing Assembly drawings for HMI / Enclosue assemblies as required.
• Producing purchased cable lists, engraving drawings and labelling reports
• Comply with customers specifications for design and project books for selection of hardware
• Issue electrical hardware onto the SAP business system for Procurement/ manufacture.
• Liaise with suppliers providing technical support to the purchase team when necessary
• Liaise with sales/ aftermarket, projet management and all aspects of the engineering team to ensure that the scope of the project is clear and understood at the design stage.
• Liaise with Project management, engineering, Assembly, Inspection and service throughout the build, Commissioning and Installation process.
• React to non conformance and implement improvements, striving to a right first time philosophy

Technical Competency

• Inspection, testing and certification requirements/Completing and checking designs and documentation
• PLC Systems
• Electric motor types, designs and specification
• Power distribution and protection equipment
• Variable speed drives and soft-starts
• Wiring distribution systems
• Communication systems and protocols
• Industrial sensors and equipment
   

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum HNC Qualified in Electrical Engineering .
• Clear technical writing and good record keeping.
• Software Skills : MS Office,SAP, Eplan P8 Electrical
