Remit:                        

• The ideal candidate will be both electrically and mechanically skilled prior experience in injection moulding or other disciplines of plastics manufacturing
• This position will suit an ambitious Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Role:

• As Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for conducting planned preventative maintenance activities
• In the role of Maintenance Engineer you will be required to undertake reactive maintenance measures to minimise machine downtime
• Reacting to breakdowns and faults
• The successful Maintenance Engineer will follow and create new predictive maintenance programmes
• Creation of standard maintenance procedures
• To undertake, and be responsible for ad hoc project work within the remit of the Maintenance Department
• Responsible for the maintenance of a wide range of machinery including injection moulding machines, robots, automated packaging lines, chillers, conveyors, water heaters and material feed systems

Experience:

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
• NVQ Level 3 Qualification
• 18th Edition electrical qualification a big advantage
• Demonstrable experience within injection moulding or other plastics manufacturing disciplines
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Able to work on own initiative
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
• Awareness of safety regulations and CE regulations
