Hours: 8am until 5pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000

Polytec are looking for a CNC Workshop Manager for our client based just north of Cambridge. You will ideally have an advanced apprenticeship in Mechanical engineering with experience in making components.
Responsibilities:
* Produce high quality components to set deadlines
* Follow production list ensuring jobs are produced meeting deadlines
* Work to tight financial margins
* Liaise with senior management to map and plan future work
* Implementing procedures to improve efficiency and reduce material and tool wastage
* Order tooling as and when required
* Maintain existing machines to a high standard
* Adjusting and updating programs for increased efficiency when necessary
* Regularly self-inspecting the jobs being produced
Requirements:
* Advanced apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
* Ability to read and understand complex technical drawings
* Ability to produce precision components to the tightest tolerances (0.01mm or less)
* Experience using a wide range of inspection equipment
* Good level of knowledge in programming and setting up CNC milling and turning machines
* Experience in using manual lathes and milling machines
