CNC Setter Operator

We’re hiring for a CNC Setter Operator to join an award-winning family run engineering business based in Glossop.
In this role the successful caniddate will be responsible for operating and setting up turning machines to manufacture precision components from a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and copper.

- Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm / Friday 12:00pm finish

What will you be doing as a CNC Turner?
- Overseeing machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load to produce precision components
- Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and making any necessary adjustments to the machines
- Maintaining and updating records about the machine's operations and the team's overall performance
- Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical and safety issues
What do you need?
- Proven experience as a Turner Setter/Operator with experience in CNC machining
- Experience using Fanuc control systems
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
