Pin Point Recruitment is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing company based in West Thurrock, Essex.

They run nine sites throughout the UK and one in the USA. The company has an annual turnover in excess of £125 million, employing more than 500 people worldwide.

If you have experience working within an electrical team, including maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems in an engineering plant environment, then this could be the role for you.

Job Role

Carry out electrical installation work efficiently in accordance with IET Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations (BS7671).

Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus including LV Circuits, Electrical motors, power and lighting, using test equipment,

Routine checking and testing of all types of electrical systems, equipment and components

Health and safety at work, ability to identify hazards, safe working requirements and procedures.

Working hours 08:00 – 17:00 – Monday to Friday

Skills needed:

Minimum qualification of the City and Guilds of London Institute Certificate:

• Electrical Installation Part II or III,
• Electrical Plant Part II or III,
• NVQ Level III, completed a recognized apprenticeship.
• BS7671 17th Edition IET Wiring Regulation
• Working knowledge of Instrumentation and Control
• Knowledge of equipment isolation procedures
• Good knowledge of Fault finding/troubleshooting Skills, interpretation and understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good knowledge of electrical Variable Speed Drives, control and electromechanical systems.
