Pro-Resourcing Ltd, are currently recruiting on behalf of our client.  

Our client, a well-established precision engineering business, currently requires a Senior Design Engineer to join their team. 

The position is full time, permanent. 

Job Role:

• Develop strategies and plans for the design engineering function that will facilitate the achievement of the company's goals.
• Manage the development of new designs and modifications to meet customer or market specifications, as well as quality and cost criteria.
• Project manage the introduction of new products to ensure all aspects of manufacture and design are considered, and agreed timescales are achieved.
• Provide engineering expertise to support other functions within the business, including sales, machine shop and assembly.
• Apply advanced engineering knowledge and expertise to improve problem solving within the organisation.
• Manage product database, technical files and other design information in an organised, up-to-date system that is easily accessible and understandable to others. 
• Manage the provision of accurate drawings and other relevant information to other departments to enable accurate and timely production. 
• Advise the company on industry developments that may benefit the organisation.
• Effectively schedule workload on multiple design projects to ensure achievement of agreed time schedules. 

Experience:

• Experience working with Autodesk Inventor and Vault. 
• Experience developing designs for CNC machining and assembly. 
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics and stress calculations on valve parts under pressure. 

Salary: Up to £50,000.
