Mechanical Project Manager

There is a certain thrill to working on the grandest, most prestigious projects in London. Being able to see these huge structures go up and forever knowing, and constantly reminding your friends and family when you go past them, that you built that. This project is one of the largest Residential schemes in London, £40m M&E Value, which will be hard to miss so if you want your chance to work on a project like this then read on.

Your responsibilities will include:

You will need preconstruction exposure & experience, good paperwork, QA, H&S, client facing and enjoy walking the site with solid management experience. This coincides with proven experience completing projects and longevity with previous employers.

You’ll be checking for design changes, planning and staying ahead, monitor project progress and setting deadlines in addition to ensuring contract compliance, quality and financial control.

You will be part of a well knit team including the project director, who you report into, an electrical opposite number, mechanical & electrical site managers, estimators and quantity surveyors.

The Company you will be working for:

The company in question is a £120m turnover M&E contractor, one of the best respected in the industry. They work on major new build & fit out, residential, commercial and data centres from £10m to £50m M&E with a well structured delivery team who support each other and work to create sustainable solutions for their clients. They have also spent a great deal of time creating a culture of promotion and retention, some of their Project Directors started with them as electricians, plumbers or engineers.  

What Qualifications and Experience you will need:

Mechanical qualifications, preferably HNC, HND or BEng but they do not discount people who have come from a trade background.

5+ years of experience in project management in tier 1 M&E contractor.

Proven track record of successfully delivering mechanical projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and utilities.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, including MS Project, Primavera etc.

What your Compensation will be:

This is a top level project management position and you are compensated as such - £75,000 to £85,000 + package tailored to the candidate.
