Mechanical Design Engineer - Oxford
Our electro-mechanical products manufacturing client in Oxford is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer.
The successful applicant will work to very rapid product development and commercialisation timescales, taking products through the latter stages of the development process, including technical review, prototyping, accelerated life testing, live trials, product improvement initiatives and certification.
Job duties will include the following:
•Develop models to solve technical problems, including post-processing of results, analysis, and presentation.
•Product drawings in an appropriate CAD package, including a detailed understanding of tolerancing, dimensioning and stress analysis
•Preparing for live product trials, including selecting appropriate instrumentation.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following:
•A degree in Engineering (2:1 or 1st Class) or a Master's/PhD
•2+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
•Knowledge of SolidWorks
•Knowledge of producing drawings, BOM's
•Good communication skills
Excellent basic salary
25 days holiday, flexible working hours
Office-based with optional two nominated work-from-home days each week.
