GRP COMPOSITES LAMINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

A position has come up in our Berkshire based workshop for a GRP Composites Laminator.

We are a small friendly team in a locally run business, specialising in working with the rail industry.

This post reports directly to the company directors

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• All aspects of wet lay manufacturing and repairing GRP products, including:
• Gel coat application, both brush and spray
• Repair and finishing gelcoat surfaces
• Cutting and preparing core materials
• Mixing and laying up wet laminating polyester
• Manufacturing and repair of production tooling moulds
• Trimming, grinding and finishing
• Full clean driving licence

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• To work within the team, manufacturing GRP products
• To fulfil customer orders as and when required
• To adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy and Work Safe policy at all times
• To be aware of the company’s policy on non-conformances
• To maintain the workshop, including tools, equipment and stock
• To maintain a good work ethic, in terms of time keeping and presentation
• To be able to work towards deadlines
• Good social skills
• To represent the company, when required, in a professional and competent manner

HOURS & SALARY

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm, with some scope for overtime

Salary: Salary negotiable depending experience

This is a contractor role

TRAINING & SUPERVISION

Full PPE will be provided

Supervision will be done by the company director
