Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

ROLE PURPOSE

We're currently recruiting for an electrical mate to join our business on a permanent basis.

The reason for this hire is to support the delivery of the FET programmes of work across our frameworks with Water Companies across the Kent, Sussex, Surrey and London areas (not limited to).

THE ROLE

  • Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday on site hours. Paid hourly, with overtime paid.
  • Paid for your travel time, paid door to door.
  • Overtime during the weekends paid at An inflated rate.
  • Some travel and lodging will be required as part of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be responsible for assisting in electrical installations
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to
  • Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards
  • To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment
  • Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients

Requirements

Experience / Certificates:

  • No electrical experience required
  • ECS Card / CSCS Card (essential)
  • Good client engagement and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving license (and own vehicle desired)

Desirable

  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Experience working as an electrical mate/improver
  • EUSR and Thames Water Passport
